It you like sappy YA novels set in high school, you will enjoy Tell me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum. It’s a quick read about a girl who moves states and schools after her mother dies of cancer and her father remarries. We see her struggles of finding her places in her new home and new school, as well as the difficulty of keeping up with friends “back home”. The teenage girl inside me enjoyed this book, rooting for the obvious love story.
Not much to say her, but a nice, (mostly) lighthearted change after Blindness and Year One, especially since I’m also reading Bel Canto by Ann Patchet and Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.
